A Chicago Cubs player is set to speak in Warsaw.
Chris Singleton will be the keynote speaker for the 31st annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Community Event.
He’ll take the stage Monday January 21st at the Manahan Orthopedic Capital Center, but he’ll be discussing more than just his sports career.
Singleton’s mother was killed along with eight other people by a white supremacist in South Carolina in 2015.
Singleton will share his personal experiences of adversity and his belief that “love is stronger than hate”.
The event is free to attend for people of all ages in Kosciusko County. Free lunch will be provided for the first 300 people in attendance.
