Dekota J. “Cody” Bencze, 24, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022. Cody was born July 31, 1997 in Warsaw, the son of Joseph E .Bencze Sr. and Pamela (Lapp) Bencze. He was a lifetime Warsaw resident and was the manager of his family’s auto repair business, USA Muffler & Brakes in Warsaw. Cody was an avid Notre Dame football fan, loved music and was a sportsman who enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed playing pool and video games, and caring for his dog, Luna.
Cody is survived by his parents, Joseph E. Bencze, Sr. of Warsaw and Pamela Bencze of Warsaw; brothers, Shawn (Jennifer) Bencze of Morning Sun IA, Joseph E. (Heather) Bencze Jr. of Claypool, Alex Leonhardt of Jackson WI, sister Shenelle Bencze of Deputy, IN, Michael (Darcie) Blackburn, Timothy (Korbi) Blackburn and Brent (Kortney) Blackburn, all of Warsaw; his grandmother, Kay Mosier of Warsaw and great-grandmother, Dorothy Lapp of Lancaster PA.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Joseph & Carol Bencze and John Richard Lapp.
Pastor Bob Brown will officiate Funeral Services at 2:00 Friday April 8, 2022 in McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Ct. with visitation from 1-2 pm. Visitation also on Thursday from 4-8 pm in the funeral chapel. Private interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
