Don Evans Runyan, 84, of Warsaw, died Friday September 30, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
He was born in Indianapolis on June 16, 1938, the son of (the late) George and Ruth (Williams) Runyan. Don served in the US Army Reserves. On June 25, 1961, he married Valerie (Grove) Runyan in Indianapolis. Don retired from commercial sales for Indiana Bell Telephone and United Telephone. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis. He was also a member of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club and formerly served on the Board at Beaman House. Don had an interest in computers and locksmithing, assisting family & friends whenever necessary.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Valerie Runyan of Warsaw; their children, Michael (Patti) Runyan of Allen TX, Jennifer (Daniel) Buskirk of Mason MI, Edward (Jackie) Runyan of Warsaw and Tim Runyan of Warsaw; daughter-in-law, Heather Runyan of Portage; grandchildren, Katie (Ron) Cooley and Beth Runyan both of Allen TX, Lauren (Dave) North, Janna Buskirk and Landon Buskirk, all of Mason MI, Wesley (Alison) Buskirk of Okemos MI, Tyler Runyan and Morgan Runyan, both of Warsaw, Avery Runyan and Cole Runyan, both of Portage: great-grandchildren, Arlo North in Mason MI, Colton and Caroline Cooley in Allen TX and his sister, Ann (Peter) McKinney in New York. In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his son, Daniel Runyan.
Funeral Services Friday October 7, 2022 at 3:00 pm at McHatton- Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. A Visitation with family and friends will be prior to the service from 1:00 -3:00 pm in the funeral chapel. Interment is private.
