After 45 years in public education and 5 years of loyal and dedicated service to Warsaw Community Schools, Dr. Craig J. Hintz retired last night. The Warsaw Community Schools Education Services Center was filled with people in celebration of his career, including some of Hintz’s family members. Superintendent David Hoffert presented to Hintz, the high civilian honor only granted by the governor, The Sagamore of the Wabash Award. Upon receiving the award, Hintz gave thanks for the opportunity to serve and make a difference; he says he can proudly say the district is on the move. Hintz closed with, “happy trails, until we meet again.” The word Sagamore was a term used by native american tribes to describe a lesser chief or a great man among the tribe whom the chief consulted for wisdom and advice.
