The Animal Hospital of Warsaw will be closing on Aug. 31 due to the retirement of veterinarian and owner of the clinic, Dr. Dennis Woodward.
Woodward opened the clinic on North Detroit Street in 1980 and has been providing veterinary care to residents in the greater Warsaw area for over 40 years at this location. During that time, he served the community as a member of the Optimist Club, as well as being a founding board member for the Animal Welfare League. He also currently serves as the chairman of the Kosciusko County Board of Health.
Patients of the clinic who are looking to transition their care can find more information on the clinic’s website at animalhospitalofwarsaw.com. Woodward is advising his clients to start looking for a new provider as soon as possible, due to the lack of providers in the area taking new patients at this time. He also recommends that current clients prepare for gaps in provider care by stocking up on any medications their pets might need during this transitional period.
Woodward is grateful to his clients for allowing him to be a part of their pets’ lives for so many years.
“Thank you for trusting us with their care,” said Dr. Woodward.
He plans to remain in the area after his retirement.
