New details have been released by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department related to the crash in a construction zone near Syracuse that claimed the life of a worker and injured another.
Authorities now say 33-year old Joshua Ratliff of North Webster who was driving a pickup truck south on State Road 13 Friday afternoon as workers were picking up road work signs. Investigators say Ratliff hit 29-year old Ben Fisher of Plymouth and through him into the side of another pickup truck Fisher and a co-worker were putting those road signs into.
Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene near Waco Drive. The co-worker refused treatment.
That incident is still under investigation.
