A robbery attempt at a neighborhood supermarket in Elkhart this week, might be connected to the robbery at a bakery next door which happened a few days prior. Police have arrested a 16 year-old boy who they believe is one of the suspects. Officers were called to the Cueramaro Supermarket in the 300 block of West Lusher Avenue, early Wednesday afternoon. It was reported that two suspects, one armed with a rifle type gun, started to enter the store, but then took off. During the investigation, evidence, including the rifle type of weapon that was used, was located and recovered and detectives were able to identify the suspects. The 16 year-old is being held in the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center. Detectives are continuing their investigation which they say may be connected to the robbery which occurred on Sunday.
