Ellis “Buddy” Ousley, 86, of North Webster, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
Ellis was born March 9, 1936, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky the son of (the late) George W. and Julie (Owsley) Ousley. He was united in marriage to Virgine Shepherd in 1956 who preceded him in 1996.
He was the owner of Ellis Ousley Excavating from 1972 to 1996. Ellis enjoyed fishing and he loved traveling and “socializing”. He was a member of the Highway 13 Free United Baptist Church.
Ellis will be lovingly remembered by his sons Michale (Angie) Ousley of Leesburg; Mitch Ousley of Florida; brother Troy (Rhonda) Ousley of North Webster, sister Faye Shepherd of Pierceton; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Virgine, he was preceded in passing by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday February 19, 2023 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 105 First St Pierceton. Funeral services in celebration of Ellis’ life will begin at 11:00 am on Monday February 20, 2023 in the Pierceton Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ward “Etsie “ Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
