Anonymous donors recently established the Rebecca Linnemeier Student Success Fund at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation in honor of Linnemeier’s many years of service to Wawasee Schools.
This fund will provide support to the Wawasee School Corp., specifically in the areas of social and emotional learning for their students.
Linnemeier is the school board president of Wawasee Community Schools and has served on the board since 2006. She is also the Region 2 director of the Indiana School Boards Association.
She is passionate about children and education, according to a news release from the Foundation. She has been a leader in implementing trauma training for Wawasee Corp. employees to be able to help students by addressing traumatic situations and the social and emotional needs of students that may otherwise inhibit their ability to learn.
For those wanting to support the Wawasee School Corp. and its students, you may donate to the Rebecca Linnemeier Student Success Fund at the Community Foundation online at www.kcfoundation.org/donate or at 102 E. Market St., Warsaw. All gifts made through the Community Foundation are tax-deductible.
Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The Community Foundation is a public charity that grants about $3 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services.
