A woman was struck and killed while walking in Etna Green Tuesday afternoon.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says 84-year old Carol Hoffer of Etna Green was walking on Broadway Street, at the intersection of Walnut Street around 4:45 PM, when she was struck by a pick-up truck driven by 57-year old Larry Smith of Leesburg, while Smith was making a right turn onto Broadway.
Hoffer was flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend, where she later died from her injuries. The incident remains under investigation and no charges were initially announced.
