Chanticleer and pianist Darius Frowner will return to Timbercrest on Friday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. in the Assembly Room.
Chanticleer is a long-standing Timbercrest tradition, and they look forward to returning each year. The quartet is comprised of professional musicians from all over the country, and a guest musician to add a little flavor to their program. The group members gather every summer at the Chanticleer Farm near Richmond, Indiana for practice, touring and to conduct stringed-instrument camps for Wayne County youths.
The group is delighted to have Darius with them this year. They met during one of Darius’s’ national tours of “Ain’t Misbehavin’”and have enjoyed performing together around New York City. He is arranging “Odyssey of the Seasons” especially for their Indiana tour.
Richmond native Caroline Klemperer-Green, is director and first violin; other members are Stefan Xhori (violin), Jennifer Smith (viola) and Elizabeth Gottling Mendoza (cello). Guest musician this year is pianist Darius Frowner.
