Facts and Fables: Crafting Your Family Narrative

March 18 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Your family’s story is a mix of facts, lore, and DNA. Those building their family tree encounter all three and many times they are faced with contradictions. How do you honor family history even with faced with inaccuracies and embellishments? The Genealogy Library at the Kosciusko County Historical Society is hosting a discussion with Kelly Penney Howard, a well-known genetic genealogist to speak on that topic. Howard’s discussion titled “Facts and Fables: Crafting Your Family Narrative” will address the challenges of reconciling truth and myth within family histories. Howard has presented at numerous national and state level conferences on family histories and preserving family heritage.
