An explosive device found by a Goshen resident was turned over to police on Monday. The Elkhart Truth reports that an unidentified citizen found the device at an unspecified location outdoors while walking. It was a 4-inch long section of tube, one-half-inch in diameter, with an exposed wick and wrapped in black tape. The device was brought to the Goshen Police, who in turn reached out to the Elkhart Police Department Bomb Squad…who took control of the device and destroyed it. No injuries were reported and police are not sure who created the explosive.
