A 19-year-old man will spend six years in prison for robbing someone after setting up a sale on Facebook.
Travon Holman was sentenced Tuesday in Allen Superior Court.
He arranged a meeting with his victim in June of last year to sell a pair of sneakers, but then he and an accomplice took the victim’s money and phone at gunpoint.
The Journal Gazette reports his defense pointed out that Holman never held a weapon, and that he’s a new father, but did admit that he set the whole thing up.
His accomplice was sentenced last April to 10 years in prison for the crime.
