Junior and Senior High School students at Fairfield Community Schools will learn with laptop computers this year.
Each student was handed a laptop that they will use to access all of their course curriculum for the coming school year.
The laptops are part of the Fairfield district’s 1-to-1 program, based on feedback from previous graduates. School officials told the Goshen News that the program is an effort to better prepare the students for college and the work force.
They were paid for with a grant that was applied for after careful research by the school board, a process that began five or six years ago.
Fairfield students begin classes with their new tech on Friday.
