Several county fire departments assisted in quickly knocking down Saturday’s fire at the former Winona PVD Coating building at 1180 Polk Drive, Warsaw, on Saturday. The fire, which occurred at about 5:43 p.m., was contained to a paint room and the fire was minimal, according to Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Public Information Officer Max Kinsey. As a precaution, the WWFT battalion chief asked for Leesburg, Atwood and Winona Lake fire departments to assist. They also had Silver Lake’s Titus fan, as well as Warsaw’s, respond. County records indicate the building is owned by West Hill Development LLC, Warsaw.
