Police officers from several different agencies had to come together to stop a fleeing suspect Tuesday.
Police say 41-year-old Mitchell Mullins of Rockford, Ohio was involved in a domestic violence incident at a local bar, then rammed his car into the bar’s wall and left the scene. He got into another crash at Kozy Kampground before officers caught up with him.
By that point, his vehicle was badly damaged and he was driving on three tires, losing parts of his vehicle as he went, in a chase that never got faster than 15 miles per hour.
Police used “stop sticks” on his vehicle on US 127 and Monroe Road to force him to stop. That’s when he stripped naked, slipped out of handcuffs police put on him, and eventually had to be tazed before being taken into custody.
On top of the domestic violence charge, he’s also being charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and a stop sign violation.
