Heavy fog and poor visibility were factors in an early Sunday morning crash in St. Joseph County. According to WNDU, the crash happened at around 6:00 a.m. close to the Indiana-MIchigan border at the intersection of State Line Rd. and Cherry Rd. in St. Joseph County. The driver told police he was on his way to work, was unfamiliar with the county road and had a hard time seeing through the fog when he crashed into a tree. Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
