Former Wa-Nee Teacher’s Trial Scheduled For Fall After Allegedly Having Relationship With Student

A former NorthWood High School Spanish teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student is set to go to trial this fall. 28 year-old Brooke Wilson of Goshen, was scheduled for trial for one count of child seduction in July, but the trial was postponed because of court congestion. Yesterday, the trial was re-scheduled for mid-November. According to court documents, Wilson admitted to police that she went on two dates with a student, who was between 16 and 18 years old, in April and May 2013. On those dates, police say the pair engaged in “touching, fondling and kissing.” She was fired from Wa-Nee Schools after the student reported the relationship. If convicted, Wilson could face six months to three years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
