The city of Fort Wayne is joining Allen County in suing opioid makers. The city is suing the country’s three largest wholesale drug distributors-Amerisource Bergen, Cardinal Health, and McKesson Corporation. Combined, The three have more than $400 billion in annual revenue and control more than 80 percent of the market for prescription opioids. There are 94 confirmed overdose deaths in Allen County this year. Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Lake and Monroe Counties have also filed similar lawsuits.
