Four people are recovering after a major crash in Warsaw Thursday.
The five-car collision shut down U.S. 30 at County Road 150 West for almost two hours Thursday. Indiana State Police say an Akron, Indiana man in a Tahoe caused a chain reaction crash as other cars waited at the stoplight.
The driver of the first car that was hit, a 70-year-old Naperville man, was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Two of his passengers had to be flown to hospitals in South Bend and Fort Wayne for treatment of serious injuries.
An elderly Chicago man in a third car was treated for minor injuries at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
Warsaw drivers in the two other cars in the crash weren’t hurt.
