After completing three months in the Indiana State Police Field Training Program, four new state troopers received their patrol cars on Tuesday.
The troopers, which include 2011 Wawasee grad Casey Davis and 2018 Plymouth grad Garrett Tharp, along with Samuel Waterhouse and Bryce Bustamante, received their new cars at the Indiana State Police Museum in Indianapolis. The troopers were part of the 80th ISP Recruit Academy in December, undergoing 25 weeks of intense training and a culmination of more than 1,100 hours of training.
Tharp will patrol an area of the Toll Road in St. Joseph, Elkhart and LaGrange County, while Davis will be primarily in LaGrange and Steuben County.
