Garages damaged in two separate fires

WARSAW — Fires in the Warsaw and Winona Lake areas damaged two homes with much of the damage concentrated in the garages.

The first fire was reported Saturday morning at 1615 S. Cherry Creek Lane, off Pierceton Road.

The other fire, at 2706 W. Old Road 30, was reported around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a report from the Times-Union.

In that fire, the garage on the back side of the ranch home, appeared to be heavily damaged, based on a photo by Times-Union photographer Gary Nieter.

Both fires remain under investigation and no injuries were reported.

Along with the WWFT, agencies assisting Warsaw with the Old Road 30 fire included full assists from Winona Lake and Atwood fire departments; manpower and engine from Burket Fire Department; Lutheran EMS; Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office; Warsaw Police Department and NIPSCO.
