A nearby diner in Goshen was named the best in Indiana by a well-known TV network.
In an article last week, the Food Network named the South Side Soda Shop as the best place to get some “authentic eats with a dash of charm and a sprinkling of regional flair.”
The article highlighted it’s atmosphere, the 1940’s soda fountain bar, and some of the food highlights from it’s owners, Nick and Charity Boyd. Nick Boyd, a Philadelphia native, added the food flair from the City of Brotherly Love such as a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and the Philly Chili.
The diner was originally founded in 1910 as Dean’s Grocery, with the soda fountain added 30 years later. You can find the Food Network article here.
