Thirteen grants totaling $9.6 were awarded to organizations and colleges to support programs that recruit, prepare, place and retain educators in schools with teacher shortages in the STEM subject areas. The Indiana Commission for Higher Education announced the grants today, saying they support efforts to find and train teachers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.
