The Indiana Farm Bureau’s spring market basket survey says – Grocery store prices have plummeted compared to a year ago.
It may not seem like it when your grocery bill is well over a dollars a week, but the national survey of food prices says a basic basket of 16 common food items has dropped by more than 14 percent.
$52.61 last year at this time… 46 bucks now… a dozen eggs? Down over a dollar… milk down 51-cents, boneless chicken breast – down 77-cents….ground chuck – down 49-cents a pound… Orange juice down 82-cents a half gallon…..
Net gain to you an me??? About 6 dollars… not a lot, but we’ll take it, right?
