Staff Report
WARSAW — Northern Indiana is bracing for a winter storm today.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for northern Indiana and southern Michigan from noon today to midnight.
Heavy accumulations across the region are possible, but that will depend on temperatures.
Meteorologist Matt Rudkin is offering three takeaways.
Motorists should expect reduced visibility. Heavy rains could bring the potential for flooding and wind gusts could approach 50 mph.
Rudkin predicts heavier snow totals north of Warsaw.
Any accumulation is expected to melt quickly with high temps rising to 40 on Saturday.
