IKEA is coming to Indiana.
The popular Swedish furniture retailer is coming to Fishers, which is just northeast of Indianapolis. Company officials joined local leaders at Fishers City Hall to make the announcement this morning, saying they have submitted plans to invest $40-million and open a location by Fall 2017 as part of the company's larger plans to expand its presence in the U.S.
Earlier this year they announced plans for a new retail location in Columbus, OH, and earlier this year IKEA partnered with a South Bend company on a solar panel array for one of their Michigan locations.
