A new study shows that Hoosiers have, on average, almost 74-hundred dollars in credit card debt.
That’s according to a study of data from the Federal Reserve. Ohio residents are putting a little more on their plastic, with an average debt of $7,654. That puts both states close to the middle of the pack when compared to the entire U.S., with Alaska having the highest credit card debt at just under $10,700, and Iowa with the least debt at just over $6,700.
The majority of this debt only grows every month, as most American consumers tend to just pay the minimum balance on their cards… and ending up spending thousands of dollars in interest alone.
