The latest Indiana real estate report shows May home sales were nearly 25% higher than those in April. It's the fourth month in a row that the number of closed home sales statewide increased from the previous month. However, statewide, the numbers are down about 4 percent from last year. Locally, sales are brisk in Kosciusko County, up more than 21-and-a-half percent with median sale price up 5 percent. The President of the Indiana Association of Realtors says low inventory keeps activity from jumping year-over-year hurdles. In addition he says more job creation, wage growth, and credit availability is needed for more activity.
