The Indiana State Fair says elephant rides will be offered to fair goers, despite protests from animal rights activists. The Fair hasn‘t offered elephant rides in several years, but this year it contracted with Carson & Barnes Circus, which animal rights groups claim has been in trouble for mistreating elephants in the past. Jessica McCain of Shelbyville, who created a Facebook page opposing the elephant rides says an accident five years ago, shows they are dangerous.
