An Indiana State Trooper was injured in a crash on the Indiana Toll Road.
The collision happened before 8 a.m. on Wednesday just east of the Notre Dame exit.
The officer was injured, but the extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
Images from the scene showed an overturned vehicle blocking the travel lanes.
Traffic was backed up to just east of Portage Avenue. Vehicles were allowed to get by the crash scene using the left shoulder of the highway.
Slower-than-normal traffic was reported in the westbound lanes on approach to the crash scene.
