Indiana State Trooper Matt Makowski was shot inside his home in Granger Thursday night.
Police say it happened around 11 p.m. on Conover Drive while Makowski was off-duty.
He’s now in a semi-stable condition after undergoing surgery at a local hospital.
Makowski’s son has been taken into custody on an attempted murder charge. WNDU reports he’s being detained at the Juvenile Justice Center.
