Indiana surpassed 1,000 deaths related to the coronavirus as 44 more were reported in the Thursday update.
The new report puts Indiana at 1,007 deaths. 669 new positive cases were reported, bringing the state total up to 17,835. This comes from 3,475 new tests that were reported. 94,998 tests have now been done overall, which equals to 18.8% of cases testing positive.
Data now included in the state report are those cases that come from long-term care facilities. Today’s update shows there are 148 facilities in the state with at least one positive case and 85 facilities with at least one death.
Overall, there are 1,467 positive cases and 260 deaths in LTC facilities.
The state did not break data down by facility.
There are now 107 “probable COVID deaths,” six higher than the count on Wednesday.
