BLOOMINGTON (AP) — Indiana University is seeing record levels of enrollment at its Bloomington campus.
The Bloomington Herald-Times reports that 43,213 students enrolled at IU’s main campus this semester, an increase of 625 students from last year. IU released the figures Wednesday based on an official count conducted Monday.
School officials also say the campus is also more diverse this year. There are 7,792 minority students enrolled this year, up 525 students over last year. Minority students also make up a larger proportion of the total degree-seeking student body at about 18 percent this year, compared to about 17 percent last year
