The Indianapolis International Airport set a passenger record in 2017.
8.77 million passengers went through the airport last year, a jump in both departures and arrivals of about 3% over 2016– a year that itself saw a jump of 6.4% over 2015.
Last year’s passenger figure topped the airport’s previous record of 8.52 million passengers that was set in 2005.
Airport Executive Marsha Stone says it had five record-breaking months last year, with June being the busiest month as it served nearly 420,000 passengers.
