Police are investigating the death of an Indiana University student whose body was found in a lake four days after he was reported missing. The body of 20-year-old Joseph Smedley was found late Friday in Griffy Lake, near the school's campus. Investigators are still trying to determine how Smedley ended up there. His sister, said she received a text from Smedley saying he was leaving the country and that a similar letter found on his bed…but it wasn't in his handwriting. Smedley's family says he was a strong swimmer and the idea of him leaving the country was uncharacteristic.
