The Isaiah 11 Ministry in Warsaw is still without a building after their location burned down in May, killing dozens of animals.
WNDU reports the Ministry is now about to lose one of the ministry’s co-founders. Ron Ozier, who has run the counseling and animal therapy center for seven years with his wife Linda, is on hospice with an aortic aneurysm, stage five kidney disease, and dementia.
Doctors said he has days to live, but his wife says they want his 77th birthday to be a night to remember.
“He told us he wanted to live until his birthday, which is Thursday, and the kids out here all love him and he loves this ministry, so I thought, ‘okay let’s combine all that and really give him honor and respect’,” said Linda Ozier.
Ron received a patriot guard flag salute for his service in the Coast Guard.
Since May they’ve only been able to raise about $2,000 of the $5,000 they would need for a new building. Linda and the kids remain positive that they will get one when they need it.
