A Japan-owned automotive and industrial parts manufacturer is expanding its operations in Wabash County.
Oji Intertech Inc with be creating up to 33 new jobs by 2021.
They will be investing $4.5 million to double their 80,000 square-foot plant in North Manchester.
Oji Intertech specializes in compression molding, diecutting, assembly and extrusion coating. They plan to upgrade its machinery and equipment to allow for an additional two molding lines starting in 2020.
Scheduled to be fully operational by 2022, these enhancements will help the company boost its production of components for the automotive and industrial packaging industries.
“The additional investment into our North Manchester facility is the direct result of the sustained efforts of our employees and the positive business environment that both the state and county have created,” said Rick Sereno, president of Oji Intertech.
Oji Intertech, which also has a location in Michigan, currently has 101 full-time associates at its North Manchester-based facility. The company has started hiring and plans to add manufacturing positions focused in production molding. Interested applicants may apply online.
