Joe’s Kids began moving into its new facility at 902 Provident Drive, Suite C, Warsaw, Dec. 27. Tuesday afternoon, an official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place inside the building, which was made possible with the assistance of the K21 Health Foundation. Joe’s Kids is a non-profit organization offering physical, occupational and speech therapies to children. Executive Director Rebecca Bazzoni (center, with the big scissors) said it opened Feb. 2, 2014, and “we could not have guessed what the next three years would mean to us.” Joe’s Kids now serves over 250 kids a year, with many of the children coming in multiple times a week. She said it happened because of the work of many people. “We would have died at the starting line without the support of the community,” she said. Bazzoni mentioned that the K21 Health Foundation and its executive director, Rich Haddad (right of Bazzoni), allowed Joe’s Kids to build the space out as it needed. She also thanked the many entities who contributed like the AWS Foundation and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. “Thank you for being here in celebrating this moment with us,” she concluded.
