A judge threatened to find a central Indiana mayor in contempt of court over a dispute about pipes blocking a courthouse entrance. The county sheriff led Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight on Tuesday to the office of Howard County Superior Court Judge William Menges. The Kokomo Tribune reports that Goodnight was released after crews moved sewer pipes for a pedestrian trail project. Goodnight called the judge's action “an ego trip.” Goodnight says Menges could have called him or other city officials about the issue but instead tried to embarrass him. Goodnight says a county commissioner had told him the courthouse entrance was needed to transport a dangerous prisoner for a Friday court hearing.
