Judith Wilson, 76, formerly of Columbia City, Indiana died on April 27, 2022. She was born February 7, 1946, in Elizabeth City, NC, to Rev. and Mrs. W.B. Walker.
Judi was a member of Blue River Covenant Brethren Church, Columbia City, where she loved attending services until her health declined.
She graduated from the University of Maryland and worked several years at the Baltimore Sun. After moving to Indiana, she built a career in commercial sales at newspapers and a home builder. She also worked briefly in college admissions, as an adjunct college professor, and as a substitute teacher.
Judi enjoyed gospel music, playing the piano, decorating her home, and hosting family get-togethers. She loved being around people and treasured her relationships with friends and family. Her dogs and cats were always dearly loved.
Surviving are her grandson, Chris (Emily) Wilson of Elkhart; sisters Carole Powell of Virginia, Beverly (James) Troyer of Churubusco, and Darlyne (Dave) Winn of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Ryan Wilson.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Indiana. Pastor Stephanie Morris will officiate the service. Arrangements are by McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home.
