June has been declared as “D-Day 75th Anniversary Month of Remembrance” in Kosciusko County & the City of Warsaw.
The Kosciusko Honor & Remember Committee presented the proclamation at the County Commissioners meeting Tuesday. They are teaming up with the VFW, the American Legion & the Kosciusko County Historical Society to honor U.S. veterans.
Ken Locke read the proclamation aloud to explain why it’s important to recognize the month.
“To honor them, and remember the sacrifice that Allied Forces made 75 years ago, asking all citizens to take a moment of grateful appreciation for their liberty, and being reminded that freedom isn’t free,” he said at the meeting.
He was joined by John Sadler in presenting the proclamation to the Commissioners.
