Kelly Coburn, of Claypool, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Kosciusko Community Hospital at the age of 76.
Born in Lenore, West Virginia on March 8, 1945, he was the son of Eligha and Elizabeth Coburn. Kelly was a hard worker, spending over 40 years at Uniroyal Plastics until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
For as long as anyone can remember, Kelly had a passion for music. He was in bands for 40 years and loved to sing karaoke. He even enjoyed going to church with his companion April and listening to the music that was played. He and April loved going out to eat, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Those who cherish memories of Kelly include his loving companion, April Baxter; children, John (Cheryl Pitts) Rhoads, Joe (Linda Tillberry) Rhoads, James (Shonda) Coburn; Debra (Steven) Keen, Sandra (Dallas Honeycutt) Williams, Barb (Troy Thrush) Sommers, and Sabrina (Lacie) Adams; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his dog, JoJo and previous loving relationships, Mary Kendrick, Jan Moore Gaines. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; previous companion Alice Rhoads; and children Kelly William Coburn and Kellie Jean Warner.
Titus Funeral home is assisting the family. Friends may gather for a visitation on Saturday October 30, 2021 at Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, 6800 S State Rd 15. Claypool, IN 46510 from 2:00 PM until the Life Celebration® at 4:00 PM. Donations can be made to the Early Apostolic Bible Training Center in memory of Kelly.
