Kerlin celebrates seventh Ford Motor Company President’s Award

SILVER LAKE — One of the oldest companies in Kosciusko County is being honored again for its overall performance by Ford Motor Co.

Kerlin Motor Company, which will celebrate its one hundred-year anniversary in 2027, was once again recongized with Ford Motor Company’s President’s Award for outstanding accomplishments.

The Silver Lake-based company has now receieved seven President’s Awards, including four in a row, said Amanda Agnello, CX manager in the Detroit region for Ford Motor Company.

The President’s Award is only presented to about 10 percent of the top-performing dealerships that practice quality business practices and follow Ford’s core principles, according to the company.

The dealership recorded 277 sales of new Ford vehicles in 2023 and assisted customers with more than 2,100 repair orders.

Russell Kerlin founded the company 97 years ago and had four sons. Rick Kerlin and Valerie Warner are the third-generation owners.

Rick Kerlin and Valerie Warner thanked their employees for their work and then hosted a outdoor luncheon afterward.

“When we take care of our customers, this is what happens,” Rick Kerlin said. “I really appreciate it.”
