Kosciusko County Coroner Tony Ciriello has filed to go after a second term.
Ciriello has been with the coroner’s office since 1993 when he was appointed at the deputy coroner. Ciriello has been the coroner since 2015 when he first filled in to finish the term of former coroner Michael Wilson, then had a successful run during the 2016 election to maintain the seat.
Since being elected Ciriello has grown the office with personnel and equipment, including the acquisition of a building to house the coroner’s office. Working with the Kosciusko County Council and Commissioners he was able to purchase and remodel a building in Warsaw that allows the office to operate under one roof. Having its own facility allows the coroner’s office to better serve the citizens of our community when a tragedy occurs.

Ciriello has 6 deputy coroners who are all certified through the State of Indiana as Medico-Legal Death Investigators.
For the last 20 years Ciriello has served as the Director of Training and Education for the Indiana State Coroner’s Training Board and sits on the Board of Directors for the Indiana State Coroner’s Association. In addition to the board Ciriello serves on the Government Relations Committee as the liaison to the Indiana General Assembly and the lobbyist’s state wide. Ciriello has successfully introduced legislation beneficial to coroners and has testified in numerous Senate and House committee hearings at the State House.
Locally Ciriello is a member of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, where he is a past president and the Kosciusko County Shrine Club where is also is a past president. He advises and is a member of the Opioid Coalition for Kosciusko County and serves on the Kosciusko Child Fatality Review Team. Ciriello is also active in the Kosciusko County Republican Party and serves as a precinct Committee Chairman for Jackson Township.
