Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies have raised over a thousand dollars for unpaid lunch balances at local schools.
As part of the No Shave November fundraiser, deputies were allowed to grow beards all of last month. Anyone who wanted to participate had to contribute $20, then continue to raise money for the cause.
The money raised went to Syracuse, Leesburg, Madison, Eisenhower, and Claypool Elementary Schools.
Plans are already in the works to continue the event next year as a way for the deputies to give back to the community.
