A Kosciusko County Jail inmate died over the weekend and another faces potential charges in connection to the death.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Kyle P. Dukes said a jail staff found an unresponsive man t 8:09 p.m. Saturday. He was identified as 39-year-old Dennis McCrory of Michigan.
The jail staff did CPR on McCrory and 911 was called.
Lutheran EMS arrived and continued with CPR. During this time, six doses of Narcan were administered on McCrory.
He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical treatment, and then to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
At 4:48 a.m. Sunday, McCrory was pronounced dead.
Dukes said a criminal investigation was conducted and a police report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
