A Goshen man is behind bars for getting busted for possessing synthetic marijuana Thursday night.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the address of 10 Yvonna Street, Leesburg, after receiving an anonymous tip of a suspicious vehicle in the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers were able to determine that a wanted subject, Sarah Elizabeth Powell, 22, of Syracuse, was located inside the residence, according to 1st Sgt. Chad Hill, Public Information Officer for the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
KCSD deputies and Drug Task Force officers obtained permission for the property owner to enter into the residence where the located 36-year-old Greg DeBoard, of Goshen.
Officers immediately noticed items associated with dealing in “spice” and located approximately 150 grams of synthetic cannabinoid (synthetic marijuana).
Officers arrested and preliminarily charged DeBoard with felony possession of synthetic cannabinoid. Powell was arrested on the three outstanding Kosciusko County failure-to-appear warrants. Both DeBoard and Powell are currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail.
