The Wawasee Property Owner’s Association has donated a new patrol boat to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department lake patrol program.
The boat is equipped with all the required emergency equipment and is a fully functioning law enforcement patrol vehicle. It will be stationed at Wawasee Lake, but has a boat trailer that can move it to another lake should an emergency arise.
The Sheriff’s Department says the donation was made possible by a generous discount and the continuing community support of one of this area’s premier marinas, Griffith Wawasee Mariana in Syracuse.
